This guide shows you how to set up and sync your data for Customer Profitability

Please note:

  • Currently only available for ConnectWise customers

  • Currently only available for paid customers

  • This is release 1 of profitability, we are planning extra features will be available in future releases

SETUP

Permission settings configuration required

To access the Profitability feature, you need to configure your ConnectWise permissions to provide BeeCastle access to the data. Please refer to these help articles for:

Once the settings are configured, please email help@beecastle.com and we will begin the required data sync.

Profitability $

Revenue $ - Cost Base $

This shows total revenue from all invoices minus total costs from labour and expenses.

Gross Profitability %

Profitability $ / Revenue $

This shows the profitability % for a customer over the specified date range, calculated as profit divided by revenue.

Total Profitability %

A company's Profitability $ / Total Profitability $ for a selected query

This shows the percentage of profit a customer contributes to the total profit of companies search results.

Profitability Ranking #

The relative ranking of a company's Profitability $ in relation to the total Profitability $ of the selected query

This shows where the company ranks in relation to their profitability compared to the other companies returned in the search results (1 is the highest).

Revenue $

The data is from the invoices​ entity and is the

sum of the sub total field (excludes tax)

This shows the total revenue for a customer as calculated by the summing the total of all invoices (excluding taxes).

Total Revenue %

A company's Revenue $ / Total Revenue $ for a selected query

This shows the percentage of revenue a customer contributes to the total profit of companies search results.

Revenue Ranking #

The relative ranking of a company's Revenue $ in relation to the total Revenue $ of the selected query

This shows where the company ranks in relation to their revenue compared to the other companies in the search results (1 is the highest).

Hours

The total number of hours from Time Entries

This shows the total number of hours of labour from all team members as calculated from time entries.

Cost Base $

Total Labour Cost + Expenses + Total Product Cost

This shows the total cost which is calculated as total labour cost plus expenses, plus total product cost

Effective Rate

Total Revenue / Total Hours

This is a ratio which shows the efficiency of generating revenue per hour. It is calculated as total revenue divided by total hours.
