When you connect your calendar with BeeCastle you no longer need to log your meetings and calendar invites. Instead, BeeCastle does it for you, recording interactions with your BeeCastle contacts that it sees in your calendar.

BeeCastle connects to your calendar through permission granted to the calendar accounts stored on your iOS device. When there are no calendars showing up it is generally for two reasons:

  1. BeeCastle does not have permission to access the iOS calendar accounts

  2. Your iPhone has no calendar accounts setup

Checking if BeeCastle has permission to access calendars

To check what permissions you have enabled for BeeCastle open the Settings app and scroll down to the list of apps where BeeCastle will be listed (alternatively you can search for BeeCastle).

Tap BeeCastle and you’ll a list of permissions (see below). To enable calendar access, just toggle the calendar item to on.

Once permission is granted, you can open the BeeCastle app, go to 'settings -> Integrated calendars' and you should see a list of your calendars that are associated with your iOS account.

Adding calendar accounts via iOS settings

If you have provided permission but no calendars are showing it means that you currently have no accounts added in your iOS phone settings. BeeCastle use these accounts to integrate so you need to add them via the iOS settings menu.

To add the an email provider like iCloud, Google, or Yahoo, you can add an account with just your email address and password. Here's how:

  1. Go to Settings > Passwords & Accounts.

  2. Tap Add Account, then select your email provider.

  3. Enter your email address and password.

  4. Tap Next and wait for Mail to verify your account.

  5. Choose information from your email account, like Contacts or Calendars.

  6. Tap Save.

Once added, you can return back to the BeeCastle Integrated Calendar screen and that new calendar will show in the list so you can toggle it on.

If you don't see your email provider in the list provided by iOS settings, tap Other to add your account manually.

If you need to set up your email account manually, make sure that you know the email settings for your account. If you don’t know them, you can look them up or contact your email provider. Then follow these steps:

  1. Go to Settings > Passwords & Accounts.

  2. Tap Add Account, tap Other, then tap Add Mail Account.

  3. Enter your name, email address, password, and a description for your account.

  4. Tap Next. Mail will try to find the email settings and finish your account setup. If Mail finds your email settings, tap Done to complete your account setup.

Once added, you can return back to the BeeCastle Integrated Calendar screen and that new calendar will show in the list so you can toggle it on.
